An oversized game controller, about 5 by 3.46 inches — one of the two largest patches we stock. At that size it is not an accent. It is the thing on the garment, which is exactly right for a hoodie back, a gaming bag panel, or a convention jacket.
Big patches follow different rules
A 5-inch patch has roughly four times the surface area of a standard 3 by 2.5 badge, and that changes the application. More area means more adhesive to bring up to temperature, so press in overlapping sections rather than trying to cover the whole patch with one iron placement, and give each section real time under pressure. It also means more leverage at the edges when the garment flexes, which is why a patch this size on anything that moves should be stitched around the border, not just pressed.
Where it goes
Cotton and cotton-blend hoodies and jackets, denim, cotton canvas bags. Flat panels only — a patch this wide cannot follow a curve, and forcing it onto a rounded bag face leaves the edges lifting within a week.
Where it does not
Nylon and polyester gear bags, coated fabric, leather, faux leather and vinyl: sew, do not press. Most gaming backpacks are nylon. Check before you plug in the iron.
Applying it
Iron the area flat. Position the patch, cover with a thin cotton cloth, and press section by section with firm dry heat, overlapping each placement. Let it cool completely before moving anything, then stitch the border.
Care
Inside out, cold, gentle, hang or tumble low. No bleach, no softener. Press from the reverse side only.

How big is it really? About 5 inches wide — wider than a credit card is long.
Will it fit a cap? No. Far too wide for any cap panel.
