Quantity controls how many sets you add to cart. A 2-pack or 3-pack title already includes that many patches per item.

How to apply

Place the patch, cover it with a thin cloth, press firmly with heat, then let it cool before handling. For heavy wear, bags, or textured fabric, add a few stitches around the edge.

Bulk and wholesale

For events, teams, retail displays, or larger quantities, use the bulk inquiry page and include the product name plus your target quantity.

R2-D2 embroidered at about 3.5 by 4 inches — taller than it is wide, which is unusual in this catalogue and worth planning around. The droid shape needs the vertical, so this is a patch for a chest panel, a backpack front or a jacket placket, not for a sleeve where the height runs out.

Colour and where it sits

This is one of the more colour-heavy designs we stock, and colour changes placement. A busy multi-colour patch competes with a patterned garment, so it looks best on a plain ground — solid denim, a plain hoodie, a canvas tote — where it can be the only thing happening. On a garment that already has print or a strong pattern, a simpler patch works harder.

Fabrics that take the adhesive

Cotton, cotton blends, denim and cotton canvas. Kids' cotton backpacks and denim jackets are where most of these end up, and both press cleanly.

Fabrics that need a needle

Most school backpacks are nylon or polyester, and both will mark under a hot iron before the adhesive activates. Check the label. Same for coated fabric, leather, faux leather, vinyl, and anything already printed.

Applying it

Press the area flat, position the patch, cover with a thin cotton cloth, and apply firm steady dry heat. Let it cool completely before the garment moves. On a kid's bag or jacket — anything that gets dragged through a school year — stitch the border once it is placed. Adhesive is not what keeps a patch on a nine-year-old's backpack.

Care

Inside out, cold, gentle cycle, low tumble or hang. No bleach, no fabric softener. Iron from the reverse only.

Questions we get

Is it taller than it is wide? Yes, about 3.5 wide by 4 tall.

Will it fit a sleeve? Tight on most. Better on a chest or bag front.
