Nylon packs and shells, coated or waterproof outerwear, leather, faux leather and vinyl all need a needle. Polyester needs a cooler iron, a pressing cloth, and a test on a hidden seam first.
Getting them straight
The triangle makes orientation obvious, so a tilted patch is immediately visible. Line the top edge against a seam, or use a strip of painter's tape as a guide, and check twice — once the adhesive cools there is no repositioning it.
Care
Inside out, cold, gentle cycle, tumble low or hang dry. No bleach — the white band shows it first. No fabric softener. Iron from the reverse side only.
