How to apply

Place the patch, cover it with a thin cloth, press firmly with heat, then let it cool before handling. For heavy wear, bags, or textured fabric, add a few stitches around the edge.

Bulk and wholesale

For events, teams, retail displays, or larger quantities, use the bulk inquiry page and include the product name plus your target quantity.

An Occupy Mars patch, 4.5 inches across and circular. The round format is the practical advantage: a circle has no wrong rotation, so it goes on straight every time without you squaring it against a seam, and it sits comfortably in a mixed layout next to squares and rectangles.

Where a 4.5-inch circle works

This is a mid-to-large patch — bigger than a chest badge, smaller than a back-panel statement. It suits a jacket chest on a broader garment, an upper sleeve, a flight-bag face, or the front panel of a backpack. On a slim-cut jacket a 4.5-inch circle can dominate the chest, so hold it in place and look in a mirror before committing.

Fabrics that take the adhesive

Cotton, cotton blends, denim and cotton canvas. Denim is the easiest of the lot: it holds heat and the patch does not shift under the iron.

Fabrics that need a needle

Nylon, polyester shells, coated and waterproof outerwear, leather, faux leather, vinyl, and anything already printed. Flight jackets and packable shells are usually synthetic, and this is exactly the kind of design people want to put on them — check the label first and sew if it is nylon.

Applying it

Press the area flat, position the patch, cover with a thin cotton cloth, and press with firm steady dry heat. Because it is round, work from the centre outward so the edges do not lift. Let it cool completely, then stitch the border on anything worn regularly.

Care

Inside out, cold, gentle cycle, tumble low or hang dry. No bleach, no softener. Press from the reverse only.

Questions we get

How big is 4.5 inches, really? A little wider than a standard drinks coaster.

Is there another circular patch this size? Yes — the radioactive symbol matches it.
